Another Grocery Outlet wine sale is upon us! 20% off all wine, and it runs from Nov 3-11. For the first two days, Nov 3-4, only shoppers with a coupon from the Grocery Outlet app will have access.
I’m not affiliated with the Grocery Outlet, by the way. As an extension of my main blog, The Green Stars Project, I decided to review items purchased at the Grocery Outlet. Each review includes a Green Stars rating of the social and environmental impact of each product, so they are like case studies in ethical consumption.
I chose the Grocery Outlet as the main focus of this site (again, not affiliated!) mainly because it gives Americans on a budget access to ethical products. Affordable access to more sustainable products like plant-based foods is critical if we are to address planetary threats such as climate change.
Anyway, back to the wine sale!
Top picks for the Grocery Outlet fall 2025 wine sale
I’m going to keep this simple as things haven’t changed that much since the last sale.
My picks for the sale are as follows:
- Most wines from Firestone winery (Santa Ynez Valley, CA)
- Most wines from Sebastiani winery (Sonoma, CA)
- Vieux Clocher Côtes du Rhône, France ($8, or $6.40 during the sale)
- Domaine de Beaumefort Côtes du Rhône Villages, France ($9, or $7.20 during the sale)

The first two are rare finds – Sebastiani and Firestone wines were fairly common a couple of months ago but only a few varieties are still around in my local Grocery Outlet stores. I’ve written about my favorite Firestone and Sebastiani wines from the last wine sale. Since then I’ve tried a few more Firestone wines and recommend both the petit verdot and cabernet franc.

The second two, the Côtes du Rhône wines, are more consistently stocked over the last year. I love Rhone wines and both of these are very good, although not exceptional. If you want something even more affordable then try this one: McBride Sisters Collection, Red Blend, Central Coast, California, 2020 (Normally $19; a steal at only $4 and only $3.20 during the sale).
Female winemakers Andréa and Robin McBride ‘crush’ male dominated industry with the country’s largest Black-owned brand. – Good Morning America (McBride Sisters)
I don’t tend to buy many white wines but I did try one this year and liked it: Waypoint muscat (Amador County, CA), the price of which seems to vary a lot from store to store but mine was $7. Another that’s strongly recommended by a friend is the Foris Muscato (Rogue Valley, Oregon, $6-8 depending on the store).
Also, check previous wine posts for some background on the environmental footprints of wine. I’ll compile this into a GSP post someday.
Here are some other Grocery Outlet items that I’ve reviewed, to go along with your wine:
- Follow Your Heart vegan blue cheese
